How do analyses work?

Give us a domain — paste it on the home page or open the extension side panel on any tab. We pull signals from public sources (domain registration records, Wikidata, Hacker News, traffic rankings, and the site itself) and use AI to compile them into a single brief: a trust score, an overview, key people, funding, competitors, recent news, and more. A fresh analysis usually takes a few seconds, and results are cached so revisiting a site is instant.

How many analyses do I get for free?

Signed-in free accounts get 20 analyses per day. Without an account you get 5 per day, tied to your IP address. The allowance is a rolling 24-hour window rather than a calendar day, so it frees up 24 hours after each analysis rather than all at once at midnight. Pro accounts are unlimited.

What does Pro include, and how do I upgrade?

Pro is $20/month and removes the daily cap. It also unlocks the gated sections of each report — revenue and business model, hiring signals, prognosis, employee growth, and tech stack. You can upgrade from your billing dashboard. Checkout is handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.

How do I update my card, see invoices, or cancel?

Go to billing and choose Manage subscription. That opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can change your payment method, download past invoices, or cancel. Cancelling leaves Pro active until the end of the period you have already paid for — you are not billed again after that.

How do I sign out of the Chrome extension?

Open the aboutweb side panel. Your name appears in the bar across the top; select Log out next to it. That clears the stored session from the extension and signs you out of aboutweb in the browser. To sign back in, select Continue in the panel, which opens the login page in a new tab.

An analysis looks wrong. Can you fix it?

Yes — please tell us. Reports are assembled from public data and AI summarization, so they can be out of date or simply mistaken, especially for small or very new companies. Email us the URL of the report along with what is wrong and we will correct the underlying data.
